Loungers, St Peters Dock Ipswich

As   part of the Ipswich Marina regeneration plans, an existing warehouse   constructed in the early 1900’s was converted into a café bar and restaurant.

Subteno was appointed to provide civil and structural engineering services for the conversion of the historic Burton Building. Our scope included designing off site foul and surface water drainage upgrades and securing the necessary regulatory approvals. Structural works involved replacing the existing floor slab in very poor ground conditions, reconstructing the roof, and undertaking remedial repairs to the loadbearing masonry structure.
