Project Overview
This project involved the refurbishment of a dated existing building, along with extensions to the south and west elevations to increase the overall sales area.
Appointed as civil and structural engineers, our role included the full internal strip-out of the existing structure in preparation for refurbishment. A new steel frame extension was designed and constructed, seamlessly integrating with the existing building.
To maximise the use of the remaining site area, the development footprint was carefully planned, requiring the realignment of the foul drainage system to suit the revised layout.
A full set of building and below ground services surveys were obtained due to the absence of historic record information.
